Raissa Katona Bennett & Kenneth Gartman
in “What A Wonderful World!”
Raissa and Kenneth celebrate the songs that have inspired and uplifted us for decades. You’ll enjoy popular standards and show tunes by America’s greatest composers – Rogers & Hammerstein, Berlin, Sondheim and more – plus the best of a new generation of popular songwriters. Raissa and Kenneth are nominated for this year’s MAC Award (Manhattan Association of Cabarets and Clubs) for “Outstanding Duo Show”.
Raissa is best known for playing “Christine Daae” in Phantom of the Opera on Broadway, and for her leading roles in the First National Tours of Cats and Parade. She is a multiple award winning headliner at Feinsteins, The Metropolitan Room and Laurie Beechman Theatre. She’s also been seen at Town Hall, The Cabaret Convention at Lincoln Center, 54 Below, The Iridium, The Supper Club, The Rainbow Room, The Oak Room at the Algonquin and Radio City Music Hall. She’s a dual resident of New York City, and Milford Connecticut!
Kenneth performed in the National Tour of The Music Man and has also performed internationally on a Live BBC Broadway of Simply Sondheim. He has appeared as both a singer and a pianist in the countries finest concert halls. Gartman’s work in cabaret garnered nominations for Best Music Director and Best Male Debut in the 2012 Broadway World New York Cabaret Awards.
“A tart-tongued commentator on modern life, her theatrical soprano is an effective vehicle for witty story telling.” - NY Times
“The immensely talented Kenneth Gartman has the vocal power of a Broadway star with the nuance of a cabaret singer who knows how to connect with an audience in a smaller venue.” – Broadwayworld.com
